We further refine our ideas and added ore details:
- Date:
- Does it need to be held on Wednesdays?
- What are other days of the week that may be sensible?
- Mondays to start off the week/ return from the weekend?
- Doesn’t have to be the same day each session!
- How often are we looking to host?
- Monthly?
- Whenever we can?
- finals/midterms season?
- (Also not making it too hard for the organizers)
- Ideas
- Emotional venting room
- Craft activity/session with different activities?
- Another slime workshop
- Origami?
- clay ? paints/drawing/coloring?
- Working with different materials to enhance the senses
- Meditation? Sound related things?
- Another sensory phone booth experience
- Lights, sounds and scents
- Making stress balls
- Make coasters? Soap? Candles?
- Stamp making
- We can also host multiple workshops of different themes/focuses each session, does not have to be the same every time
- Individual vs. group experience?
- Projector for group experience
- Color usage- pastel shades instead of bolder more intense colors
- textured , soft materials
- Aim to do a group session for the first one? Since the last sensory experience was individual
- Thursday club hour might be a good time to schedule it so less people are in class
- Calming sounds/soundscape
- Bring out the lights from sensory wednesday? Not dim lighting, but enough to have ambient/calming lighting
- Stamp making event ? stress balls ?
- Is dog therapy allowed ?
- Everyone can come and chill, we don’t all have to be doing the same thing at once- just an overall low-sensory space but also maybe an activity or two going
- Not just one main focus of the event
- Personalized scents?
